Lupita Nyong'o's red carpet style this award season has been so on point, especially considering it's her first year being nominated for all the major awards, its amazing how her stylist has introduced her as not only an incredible actress but also a style icon. She has stepped it up every award show from the first major show, the Golden Globes, (see my best dressed here) in that iconic Ralph Lauren cape dress to the Oscars earlier this month in Prada (post here).

A running theme in Luptia's style has been colour blocking and minimalistic styles, the bold, rich colours look stunning against her skin tone and the simplistic shape of the gowns create understated yet incredible looks.
